Methodology and Editorial Scope

Internal, legal, and public use document · Version 1.0 Issued by Vene Economist LLC · Delaware, USA · Last updated: March 26, 2026

1. Nature of the service

Vene Economist is a data intelligence platform of an informative, educational, and journalistic nature. Its purpose is to provide investors, business leaders, and analysts with a structured synthesis of the Venezuelan economic environment, applying its own editorial judgment.

The service does not constitute, under any circumstances, financial, investment, legal, tax, or any other regulated advice. Vene Economist LLC is not registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as an investment adviser, nor is it comparable to any Nationally Recognized Statistical Rating Organization (NRSRO) under US federal law.

The editorial risk indicators published on the platform—including the “ratings” and “outlooks”—are structured editorial opinions developed using our own methodology and hold no regulatory value. They are not equivalent to ratings issued by Moody’s, S&P Global Ratings, or Fitch Ratings.

2. Editorial process and information sources

Vene Economist produces its content through an editorial process that combines the systematic gathering of public data with the analytical judgment of its team. Our process has three phases:

Phase 1 — Information gathering

The platform accesses public, official data sources, including publications from the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV), the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), Venezuelan government bodies, and publicly accessible journalistic publications. Vene Economist uses standard industry tools to aggregate and monitor these sources.

Third-party sources are identified and referenced in the published content. Vene Economist does not reproduce copyrighted third-party material; instead, it accesses factual public information to generate original analysis.

Phase 2 — Analysis and editorial production

The data gathered is processed, contextualized, and interpreted by the Vene Economist editorial team. This process may include the use of analytical support tools. All content published under the Vene Economist brand reflects human editorial judgment and has been reviewed by a responsible human editor before publication.

Vene Economist does not delegate editorial decisions to automated systems. The opinions, projections, and assessments published are the product of human editorial criteria, regardless of any analytical tools used during the research and production process.

Phase 3 — Review and publication

Before publication, every piece of content is reviewed by a responsible editor who verifies factual consistency, proper source attribution, and compliance with the platform’s editorial standards. This review process is a mandatory step before publication.

3. Editorial risk indicators

Vene Economist publishes editorial indicators known as “ratings” and “outlooks” as synthesis tools for our users. These indicators are structured editorial opinions, not credit ratings or investment recommendations.

| Element | Description | | :--- | :--- | | Nature | Structured editorial opinion with an internally documented proprietary methodology. | | Scope | Synthesis of the operational, regulatory, and macroeconomic risk environment relevant to investors in Venezuela. | | Scale | Alphanumeric formatting (e.g., B+, B-) and directional outlooks (Positive, Stable, Negative) utilized strictly for editorial purposes. | | Update Frequency | Periodically, at our editorial discretion, triggered by material changes in the analyzed space. | | Regulatory Value | None. They are not NRSRO ratings nor equivalents under any regulatory regime. | | Responsibility | Vene Economist LLC assumes no liability for decisions made based on these indicators. |

Vene Economist’s editorial indicators have not been validated, approved, or recognized by any regulatory body. Their use is strictly informational.
